Passionist Bernard Mary Silvestrelli was proclaimed by the Church as “Blessed” along with another Passionist, Charles Houben, or Charles of Mount Argus, born in Holland but most of whose religious life was spent in the Anglo-Hibernan Province, and mainly in Dublin, Ireland (1857-1893). The two Passionists had met only once, during Bernard’s pastoral visit to Ireland in the summer of 1881.
