Thanks to Presentation Retreat, Monte Argentario

24 October, 2007

The Australian Pilgrims were given wonderful hospitality by many Passionist Communities and by the Passionist Nuns during their time in Italy.

Our particular thanks to the Presentation Community at Monte Argentario, and to Father Joseph, the Vicar, seen here during our visit to Vetralla.

Off to Madrid, Spain

24 October, 2007

Father Ray Sanchez from our Oxley Community in Brisbane departed Rome at the conclusion of the pilgrimage for our Passionist Community in Madrid, Spain.

Ray is seen in the photo near relics and personal belongings of St. Gemma Galgani held at Sts. John and Paul’s Monastery in Rome.

A visit to Brugnato

24 October, 2007

The Pilgrimage also visited the Passionist Community at Brugnato (Communita dei Passionisti, Via S. Lazzaro, 2, 19020 Brugnato, Italy) to view a painting in their community chapel.

The community were most welcoming and asked us to join them for lunch.

Seen here is a portion of the work we called to see – three Pasionists – Saint Vincent Mary Strambi, C.P., St. Paul of the Cross and Blessed Eugene Bossilkov, C.P.

Accompanying the 2007 Pilgrimage

The ten Australian Passionists on pilgrimage throughout Italy were blessed to be accompanied for five days by Fr. Paul Francis Spencer, C.P., author of the book on the life of St. Paul of the Cross, “As A Seal Upon Your Heart”.

Father Paul Francis, C.P., seen here talking with Padre Paulo during our visit to the Passionist Nuns in Lucca, always keeps his Panasonic Digital Camera in hand ready to capture photos for his blog Laus Crucis.
