A visit to Castellazzo

23 October, 2007

The Passionist Pilgrimage group celebrated Mass in the small cell where St. Paul of the Cross wrote the Passionist Rule in 1721.

The Australians were joined on Pilgrimage by the Passionist Superior General, Fr. Ottaviano D’Egidio, C.P. from Rome and Father Paul Francis Spencer, C.P., from Glasgow, Scotland.

A visit to Monte Argentario

“If there is indeed anywhere on earth which was dear to St. Paul of the Cross and filled with memories on his vocation, spiritual life and the very cradle of our Institute it is Monte Argentario. This is the place chosen for him and for us by the Blessed Virgin Mary who called after him, ‘Paul, Paul, I am here alone, come to Monte Argentario'” (Jude Mead, C.P.)

2007 Passionist Pilgrimage

23 October, 2007

From 26th September until 22nd October I took part in a Passionist Pilgrimage to Italy visiting places of importance to our Founder, St. Paul of the Cross, so blogging has been quiet.

The photo above shows the Pilgrimage participants from Australia and Papua New Guinea in the Mary Chapel at the Basilica of St. Mary Major in Rome. During the final Mass of the Pilgrimage, we renewed our vows as Passionists.
