From the writings of St. Vincent Mary Strambi

We exhort you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received, with perfect humility, meekness and patience, bearing with one another. Make every effort to preserve the unity which has the Spirit as its orgin and peace as its binding force. Because you are God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with heartfelt mercy, with kindness, humility, meekness and patience. Bear with one another; forgive whatever grievances you have against one another, Forgive as the Lord has forgiven you. In a word, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name you glory, by whose blood you have been saved, through whose death you obtained the happiness of a new life … We, on our part, with the help of the Holy Spirit, shall take the greatest possible care that a living image of the most loving Jesus Crucified is imprinted on the heart of each of you.

(taken from the First Pastoral Letter of Saint Vincent Mary Strambi, Bishop)
